We like to have multiple dump files to work with so if you only have one dump file, none or not a folder at all, upload the ones you have and then follow this guide to change the dump type to Small Memory Dump. Reddit keeps blacklisting file hosts so find something that works, currently catbox.moe or seems to be working. Upload to any easy to use file sharing site. If you don't have any zip software installed, right click on the folder and select Send to → Compressed (Zipped) folder. If you can get into Windows normally or through Safe Mode could you check C:\Windows\Minidump for any dump files? I then went to restore the image from Macrium: blue screen again. Reset BIOS to factory defaults: same blue screen.įeeling confident since I had an image of the known-good drive, I installed a clean copy of Windows 10 on the drive to see if it was a hardware or BIOS issue.
I went back into BIOS and reversed the changes I had just made: same blue screen. Save changes and exit: the system failed to boot at all, blue screen suggesting I insert recovery media.
The system worked, so I thought I was all good.Ī couple of days later, I was in BIOS and saw that "Resize BAR Enabled?" was not active, so I enabled it, turning off "Compatibility Support Mode" and turning on "Above 4G Encoding" in the process. I thought I was being smart before some upgrades, created an image of my system drive with Macrium, and went about the upgrades (installing a larger NVME drive, converting it to the boot drive). I think I selected "Image Selected Disk" and not "Backup Windows." Can I save this? Rebuild my EFI Partition? TL DR - I tried to back up my system using Macrium Reflect (free, ver8.1).
